After the very successful Leeds night Vague came the legendary Speedquen hosted at The Warehouse.Probably the most successful night of its time courtesy of Kaz & Suzy,Speedqueen filled the very large boots Vague had left.Great D.j,s and classy clientele ensured this night still runs today(although not as good!)Here we have my friends Dela & Peaker who were one of the first residents of Speedqueen.Awesome!!!

Mark and Adrian aka the Luv Dup twins, formed their duo quite by accident in the early nineties. After being forced to join the defence forces in South Africa, Mark made a quick exit to Manchester where he started DJing at parties for indie / dance group "The Farm". Meanwhile Adrian, a born and bred Mancunian, was playing warm up slots at a local weekly club night - the pair got together after Adrian helped Mark out of a particularly sticky situation after a rather heavy night out. They started DJing at some very unlikely venues, including a Chinese restaurant, and, after boosting "The Venues" weekly crowd five-fold, they began to get regular slots at House Club events all over the UK.

Their regular DJ slots include "The Paradise Factory" and "Home" (Manchester), as well as various guest spots at some of the UK's top clubs.

Vague was a regular night at The Warehouse nightclub in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, from 1993 to 1996. It was originated by Suzy Mason and Paul Fryer (former lead-singer with Yorkshire based Eighties electro pop outfit Bazooka Joe), in association with Nick Raphael, as the former High Flyers club in Leeds on 10 April 1993, moving to The Warehouse a month later. Resident DJs over the years included Fryer and Raphael as "TWA" (variously styled as "Trannies With Attitude" or "The World is Androgynous"), Phil Faversham, Curtis Zack and Anne Savage.

The club was credited as being the first in the UK to advertise itself as "mixed" - i.e. for heterosexual, bisexual, and homosexual patrons equally - although vetting of customers on the door was notoriously strict. Once inside, the atmosphere inside was one of tolerance, hedonism, and sexuality. It played a mixture of handbag house, hard house and hard trance music, with a more eclectic selection of music upstairs. TWA's self-description was "techno disco" or "tesko" (for legal reasons).

The night ended after Vague celebrated its third birthday at the Warehouse on 14 September 1996. Soon afterwards, Mason and Kas Shaw started a similar mixed night - styled as "I-Spy" - at the larger Club NATO in Leeds city centre, before transferring it to the Warehouse on 12 April 1997. Soon afterwards it was renamed "Speed Queen," which continues to the present day.

Ian Ossia's illustrious career began back in 1992, when a friend of his passed a mix tape to Sasha, who in turn passed it on to Geoff Oakes, Renaissance proprietor. A combination of the right talent in the right place at the right time left Ian in the prestigious position as resident of Renaissance. Dave Seaman founded prolific 90's remix and production team Brothers In Rhythm with Steve Anderson in 1989. Along with sound engineer Alan Bremner they went on to work with some of the biggest names in the industry, winning various production and remixer of the year awards in the process. They were at the top of their game for more than 10 years. The discography speaks for itself.

E-Lustrious comprises the Manchester duo Mike "E-Bloc" Kirwin (nicknamed after the famed Eastern Bloc record shop) and Danny "Hybrid" Bennett. Kirwin was among the north of England's most popular DJs, though his profile has been lessened by his refusal to attend events in the nation's capital. After learning the tuba at school he progressed to sundry hopeful punk bands like Bastard Antelopes. Bennett, meanwhile, grew up on breakdancing and breakbeats, and was an early scratch DJ. They began working together at the end of the 80s, when Kirwin and then fellow Eastern Bloc co-worker Justin Robertson planned to record a single. Bennett was hauled in due to his having access to rudimentary recording equipment. Though the track was never completed, Bennett and Kirwin continued as a duo. Their first major success came as the men behind the Direkt single, "I Got The Feeling", which enjoyed a curious germination. Mixmag Update magazine invented a white label record entitled "I Got Ya" by Direckt, giving it a magnicent review in order to gauge the reaction. As thousands assailed their local dance counters in the hope of finding this invisible disc, few noticed that Direckt was an anagram of "Tricked". When the scam was revealed the enterprising E-Lustrious made the most of the furore by hijacking the name for "I Got The Feeling", enjoying instant record sales and notoriety. They have gone on to establish their own record label, UFG, which has subsequently housed tunes from the Luvdup Twins ("Good Time") and material from DJ EFX And Digit and DJ Tandoori. Under their principal name, E-Lustrious, they have established themselves with the success of "Dance No More". Just as notable was their second single as Direckt, "Two Fatt Guitars", a fabulous piece of digifunk which became a party standard in 1993. They also record as Rolling Gear ("I've Got It"
